Teaching Tip: For "fill in the blank" activities, have students highlight the word in the reading before placing it on the worksheet.
Extension Activity:

Grade 1: Have students describe their favourite holiday and what they do to prepare (i.e., Easter - painting eggs).

Grade 2: Have students share with the class some of their holiday traditions (i.e., opening one present every night during Hannukah).
