When Sophie the orphan decides to get out of her dormitory bed during the witching hour little does she know how her life is about to change? Luckily for her, she is snatched by the only nice giant in Giant Country - the Big Friendly Giant. Sophie has whisked away to the BFG's cave where she is introduced to snozzcumbers and frobscottle as well as coming face to face with the not-so-friendly giants Fleshlumpeater and Bloodbottler.
