1. Dot to Dot Pictures:

2. Coloring Activities:
Use the full page pictures for color word recognition. The students will color the pictures according to the words on it or to a color code.
3. Seeing Relationships:
Duplicate this page and use as a worksheet. The student will color the pictures that relate to pets and put an "x" on the pictures that do not belong.
4. Blank Shape Booklet Pages:
These pages may be used to make pet booklets for inventive stories, sound booklets, rhyming booklets, story books, and pet picture booklets for pet word recall.
5. Pet Booklet:
Reproduce the pages to make booklets for pets. The students will discuss each type of pet. Have the students trace the letters of the words in each sentence. Check to make sure that they are progressing from left to right and making the letters from the top to the bottom. All rounded letters should be made from left to right. Have the students complete one page a day. Have the students practise reading the previously printed pages. Then when the book has been completed, send it home to be read to parents or caregivers. These pages could also be used for students to write their own stories. Remove the text and put lines conducive to your students’ printing skills.
