At a masquerade ball, Romeo and Juliet see each other and fall in love; later they plan marriage. With the help of Friar Laurence, their plan begins, but it goes horribly wrong when Romeo does not receive an important message, and thinking Juliet dead, he kills himself. Waking beside the dead Romeo, Juliet also takes her own life. Their families arrive too late, and the tragedy of their children forces peace on the families.
