  • 2 small syringes, 2 medium syringes, 2 large syringes, a beaker, different lengths of plastic tubing, a spring scale, 2 retort stands with clamps, a 100g – 500 g mass, a ruler, a jug of water (for each group of students)
  • small, thin pieces of wood, wood doweling, thin wire
  • a few hammers, a few hand drills, a few pliers
  • class set of safety glasses, and work gloves
  • paper fasteners, elastic bands, white glue, nails, screws, nuts and bolts
  • calculators, pencils, pencil crayons, chart paper, markers
  • iPods, iPads, Macbooks, a video camera (optional), access to the internet of research
